PERSPECTIVES & INSIGHTS from New York

New York, New York

From cultural attractions to entertainment to cutting edge fashion and vibe, it’s New York, so ‘nuff said. But there are thousands of thousands of event venues and attention-grabbing locations. Our Site Select experts help narrow the scope to help you find the perfect venues that will perfectly reflect elements of your brand, and hit the mark for your next corporate event.

Global Appeal

New York is one of those cities that always has more to do than you’ll have time to fit in. Museums, theater, restaurants, city views, walks in Central Park; this is hands down one of the best cities to visit to satisfy wanderlust. But for event and corporate experience planners, we think one of most unique aspects of New York is its boroughs, each of which has its own unique culture and feel. Each of the five New York boroughs transports you to a unique mini-city, and within the boroughs, different neighborhoods lend even more layers of culture and diversity. Is your brand artsy? Stalwart? Colorful? Sustainable? We’ll help you pinpoint neighborhoods and venues that put your best brand forward.

Hotels

Trademark has long-established relationships with the world’s largest and most successful hotel brands, so we can negotiate the best rates and often gain access to venues that can be hard to secure.

While there are some monster properties in Manhattan – Marriott Marquis, we’re looking at you! – the most interesting spaces tend to be niche or boutique, like the Convenes, which are great for 1-2 day turnkey events, or the TWA Hotel near JFK, which has a vintage plane to host an exclusive cocktail party.

Off-site Entertainment and Team Activities

New York has a plethora of traditional venues but it is home to countless surprising and unfinished spaces that can be transformed to become memorable, awe-inspiring locations for corporate events. Want iconic? Tavern on the Green in Central Park. Want nautical? Enjoy the 10,000 square feet and fitted with wall-to-ceiling windows, onboard the Infinity Hornblower. One of our recent favorites is Cipriani South Street space in Manhattan, where we hosted the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation’s A Magical Evening Gala. We made the venue completely ADA-compliant, and featured Julliard student performers. The event brought together more than 500 attendees to celebrate the organization’s work to cure spinal injury through funding innovative research, raising more than $1,000,000.

Off-site Entertainment and Team Activities

Manhattan is home to some of the most iconic landmarks and monuments, from the Statue of Liberty to the Empire State Building, but the city is also chock full of more unassuming statues with rich histories that are easily accessible for visitors. Event attendees can revel in Times Square and the bright lights of Broadway or spend more quiet time taking in the views in walking tours of buildings and expansive parks. Or, visitors can immerse themselves in the different neighborhoods that each house cultural gems in the outskirts of the city – Brooklyn’s vibrant food and art scene, the diverse urban culture paired with botanic gardens and beaches in Queens, Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, or the 9,300 acres of parkland in Staten Island.

Trademark’s Take on New York

Glitz, glamor, and grit come together beautifully in the city that never sleeps. But the sheer size of the city and long city blocks can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors. Be sure to create event experiences that provide ample support and structure for your attendees so they can be guided as much or as little and they prefer. Allow time for guests to explore surrounding areas if downtime permits, but also bring in to your location all the cuisine and entertainment that New York is known for so guests can experience a cross-section of New York energy right within your space if they prefer.
